Ronan knows things he couldn't have possibly learned for himself. This is not the same as active omniscience. He doesn't know everything there is to know about anything, right off the top of his head. Rather, information sometimes enters him subconsciously, seemingly out of thin air. It's as if he's an antenna for ideas, picking up signals even from far-off places and relaying them to his dreams and often into his waking life.
This ability gives him a latent insight not just about the world, but about the people around him. The knowledge he receives is often disorganized or altogether indecipherable to him when he's awake, though his dreams can piece it all together for him. Essentially, this power's a kind of widespread one-sided telepathy that picks up information from the collective consciousness, but imprecisely and randomly. Sometimes it's completely useless. Sometimes Ronan knows exactly what's going on or what he's looking at or what he should do. As a dream, Ronan can also take root in someone else's mind. He can live inside their thoughts, communicating with them there in a telepathic and empathic way, experiencing the world through them and imparting his own perceptions. They can experience his dreams together and work in tandem to pull things from those dreams, the way Ronan is capable of doing on his own. He's essentially possessing them without taking control of their motor functions, only granting them his own knowledge and his abilities as the Greywaren. |

WHAT RONAN CAN KNOW ◇ let's see... a variety for you:
- being a benignly neglected child - not abused, but very little adult attention
- grew up in a rural area surrounded by hardscrabble farms, independent hardworking people, ponds and boggy marshy areas, light forests
- obsessively explored and observed things as a child. FROGS
- she helped birth foals a few times and was absolutely fascinated by the entire process
- enlisted in the military at age 12 and went through the requisite brutal training. good at the physical stuff, but really brilliant in classroom scenarios
- obsessed with killing titans. developing rage issues. talked only about killing titans. poor social skills. very hard to be around at that age.
- later teens and early twenties, picked up by erwin, who noticed her potential as a strategist and inventor. finally supported in her endeavors, hange began to thrive in her post; probably also a very erratic time of her life though. many friends were dying around her and her research proceeded in fits and starts, often stymied by the oppressive political regime they lived under. many manic phases and many black pits of depression. innumerable memories of bar crawl, puking in alleys, peeing in alleys, punching people, working til 3 am, fighting, watching friends die, trying to cadge research money out of politicians, talking to engineers and other soldiers, collecting literary contraband, and the like.
- out of this black pit of depression starting to work to transform herself and return to the curiosity and openness of childhood. hange leveled out in her mid-20s as similar to the personality she has now. constantly seeking new perspectives on things and experimenting with changing her own perspective. adopting humor as a coping mechanism and method to relieve tension.
- mid twenties to now: more settled into her career, confident in herself, mostly in control of her center. still driven by an abiding anger but consciously works to control it and convert it into the friendly, playful character that people know and are infuriated by. sometimes still feels despair but knows how to manage it. settled into her job for the long haul.
WHAT RONAN CAN'T KNOW ◇ if it seems sensitive just run it by me, there's things hange would be UNCOMFORTABLE with ronan knowing (the existence of titan shifters, her identity as a titan shifter, titans in the walls, etc etc) but that doesn't mean he CAN'T know it

WHAT RONAN CAN KNOW ◇ Honestly, just about anything is fair game- having played with you a bit now I'm pretty confident anything you had Ronan pick up on would be used in a way that would be fun. I'm not sure how canon-familiar you are but I'm fine with giving you some points of interest if you need/want them.
WHAT RONAN CAN'T KNOW ◇I'd prefer not to deal with stuff from after his canon point until he's had a chance to experience it for himself. Currently that's immediately after having killed Snoke (he doesn't know that Rey doesn't join him, yet– though tbh he's not going to be too surprised by that one.)
DREAMING ◇ Yes! I think this could be really fun actually... Kylo likely explored some kind of meditative dreaming at some point in his training which could make things interesting.
WHAT RONAN CAN SENSE ◇ Kylo's just a massive chaotic tangle of conflict. His efforts to eradicate the Light were a dismal failure, but he is pretty much irreparably stained by his crimes. Ronan can likely sense Kylo's power, and if his abilities work in a way at all like the Force he can probably pick up on Kylo's emotions (because ofc you need ~special powers~ to tell when this garbage fire with a laser sword is angry amirite). Apparently even people without special sensitivity to the Force can feel Kylo's approach if he's in a bad enough mood- it's like he pollutes the air around him with his misery and hatred. So... you know. Prime friend material.
OTHER NOTES ◇ Kylo has a similar ability- he can pick up on stray thoughts, feelings etc, along with his more active mind-probing skill that he has to consciously employ. If there's ever anything you want me to have him pick up on, do let me know!!

WHAT RONAN CAN KNOW ◇ He can grant magic in the form of the Mark of the Outsider. Which the Outsider usually has on his own hand nowadays. He's associated with rats, whales and flies. He was once much more powerful than he is now, but now he is more free.
WHAT RONAN CAN'T KNOW ◇ The only thing I can think of is stuff that canon - which is mostly only relevant re: the Mark spells his name but we don't ever hear what that is. Anything else about the mark is fair game.

WHAT RONAN CAN SENSE ◇ Well he's been a god the past 4000 years, give or take, and he was human once and is now mostly human again, though a part of him is still part Void. It's much older than he is. Feel free to pick up on his surreal nature and disconnect with people.
OTHER NOTES ◇ The Outsider can only dream of the Void, you got the gist from his permissions but jsyk Ronan has otherwise full permission to alter it / change things / etc, manipulate things. Weird dream powers solidarity, yo.
